Mentaur is attending the 6th Annual Disability Colloquium

February 19, 2016

Members of our corporate team have been invited to attend the 6th Annual Disability Colloquium on Tuesday 23rd February, an event hosted by the Conservative Disability Group.

The debate will be held in a non-political environment, and offers the opportunity for representatives from a wide range of charities and care providers to discuss and debate topical issues and policies affecting disabled people with government ministers and MPs, with the aim to promote a more inclusive society.

Joining this year’s event will be the Parliamentary Under Secretary for State for Disabled People, Justin Tomlinson MP, along with other representatives from the government, to debate this year’s topic, “Closing the Disability Employment Gap.” Paul Maynard, MP for Blackpool North and Cleveleys, has been invited to chair the meeting and moderate the panel discussions.

Mentaur CEO Isabel Santos Melo said, “I’m delighted to be attending this year’s colloquium and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to share my views and the views held by the wider Mentaur team with both our peers and government ministers. As a company dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults to more independent living, I feel at Mentaur we have much to contribute in this conversation, namely how the government can and should work towards closing the disability employment gap, and I’m looking forward to taking part in the debate.”
